Names Uncalled is a series of short animations that portrays the current regulations and politics relating to the identities of minorities in Myanmar. Myanmar has many ethnic groups who have different dialects, cultures, customs and religious beliefs. Several decades of dictatorship have oppressed many people for their race or religion and they have been misunderstood, mistreated and overlooked, resultong in losing their birthrights as citizens, or even as humans. With this series of animated artworks, the artist wants to evoke the identity rights of minorities, and question where we are as a whole nation on the journey to equality.
